Wet Flowers

One day back at home, I was watering the flowers on one of those brilliant Ohio summer days. The vibrant colors made luscious by the combination of water and sunlight begged for a photo shoot.

Stalactites (2002)

This is one of my earliest photographs. Right around New Year’s Eve, the snow began to thaw, and dripped from the eaves of my house onto the snow below.

I don’t know what it was that gave me the idea, but by turning the camera upside down, an ordinary sight becomes something almost mystical.

Every winter, these two little figurines come out from storage. This is one of the first photos taken with my camera (I’m up to about 5,000 now)
